The Hive Foundation Video

We take our values and culture beyond the workplace and into the community. Named from The Lake Isle of Innisfree poem, THE HIVE is our outreach program and was created for our team to be leaders in doing good for the world.

Each week, we explore a virtue together across the entire Hive Community and Innisfree Hotels. This week, we’re honored to welcome Dr. Lusharon Wiley, a very special guest from the Equity Project Alliance (EPA) — a 501(c)(3) nonprofit initiative supported by the Hive Foundation along with organizations and individuals throughout our community. Dr. Lusharon Wiley previously served as Vice President of Corporate Culture for Innisfree Hotels before assuming her current role as the founding Executive Director of the EPA. This week, she shares her reflections on the virtue of Justice with Gina and highlights upcoming EPA events and opportunities to get involved! Thank You Sponsors! Conversations in Black & White 2026
Last year, Innisfree Hotels and the Hive Foundation began a heartfelt and meaningful annual tradition with the announcement of The A. JACK GUILLEBEAUX LEGACY AWARD. It is that time of year again and NOMINATIONS ARE OPEN FOR 2026 and will remain open through December. The Hive Foundation wishes to congratulate each of the nominees from last year and honor Sasha Daneva for being recognized as the first ever awardee. We encourage each of you to take part in the nomination process for the Arbury Jack Guillebeaux Legacy Award. Your perspectives matter—nominate the people, moments, and contributions that reflect the best of who we are and the impact we make together. Recognition is more than a celebration. For an organization like Innisfree Hotels—a different kind of company with a different kind of culture—recognition reinforces our values in action. It reminds us that service, care, and commitment aren’t just expectations; they’re celebrated, lived, and carried forward. ANY AND ALL EMPLOYEES (including contract employees) OF INNISFREE HOTELS CAN MAKE NOMINATIONS, AND ARE ENCOURAGED TO DO SO! Thank you for helping honor the legacy—and for continuing to shape the culture we’re proud of. While you think about who you will be nominating this year, please join us in continuing to congratulate the following team members nominated last year, including the 2026 Awardee- Sasha Daneva Assistant General Manager | Holiday Inn Resort, Pensacola Beach. As they reflect on the past and explore the present, you may discover that parts of their journey resonate with your own. This year's Conversation in Black and White promises to be both thought-provoking and engaging. Join the Equity Project Alliance as we bring together two dynamic community leaders who share an unexpected connection: both were born in Little Rock, Arkansas—a fact they only recently discovered. That's the magic of conversation. When we take the time to talk with one another, unexpected connections and meaningful moments often emerge. Although they share the same birthplace, their journeys took different paths. Robin grew up and attended school in Arkansas, while David's family relocated to Florida during his childhood. When asked to reflect on the most significant social issue at the time they graduated from high school, Robin immediately recalled the ongoing fight for integration in public schools. David offered a strikingly similar response, remembering how racism continued to divide America. What makes their reflections especially compelling is that they graduated from high school nearly a decade apart, yet both identified race and racial inequality as defining issues of their time. Their shared perspective serves as a powerful reminder that the conversation about race in America has spanned generations—and that honest dialogue remains as important today as ever. Join us as Robin and David share their personal stories, insights, and experiences in what promises to be a meaningful and inspiring conversation. As they reflect on the past and explore the present, you may discover that parts of their journey resonate with your own.
